A Valentine’s Cocktail Ritual

Valentine’s Day to us, isn’t about extravagance ... it’s about slowing down, lighting a candle, pouring beautiful into our favourite glass.  Whether shared with someone you love, clinked between friends or savoured quietly at the end of the day, a well-made drink can become its own small ritual of care.

Inspired by rosy hues, create your own signature cocktail or mocktail at home with French charm and moments worth lingering over.  Here are two simple cocktails (or mocktails) to make at home this Valentine’s or Galentine’s.

Rose & Cherry Spritz

Soft, romantic and gently celebratory

You’ll need:

  • 30ml pink gin (or rose cordial for a mocktail)
We used La Planchelière Pink Gin

  • A splash of cherry juice or a few muddled cherries

  • Sparkling water or prosecco

  • Ice

  • Cherries or a twist of orange, to garnish

To make:

Fill your favourite tumbler with ice.   Add pink gin or rose cordial and cherry juice.  Top gently with sparkling water or prosecco.  Stir lightly and garnish.

Sip slowly - preferably with flowers nearby and nowhere to rush off to.

French Raspberry Collins

Fresh, bright, and perfect for sharing

You’ll need:

  • 30ml gin (or raspberry syrup for a non-alcoholic version)

  • Fresh raspberries

  • Lemon juice

  • Sparkling water

  • Ice

To make:
Lightly muddle raspberries in the base of your favourite glass.  Add gin (or syrup), a squeeze of lemon and ice.  Top with sparkling water and stir gently.  Finish with a raspberry or lemon peel.

A lovely choice for long lunches, sunlit afternoons or Galentine’s gatherings around the table.

However you choose to celebrate, may it be filled with beauty, intention and moments that feel like a gift.

À la vie, à l’amour!
